Mae Haad, Koh Tao · Starts daily
Open Water then Advanced, run straight through as one five-day block. Nine dives, two lifetime certifications, and a depth limit of 30 metres at the end of a week that started with you not knowing how to put a tank together.
Doing them back to back is genuinely better than splitting them up. The skills are still in your hands from day three when you start day four, and you get your first post-certification dives with an instructor rather than alone and slightly unsure.
Six nights at the Regal are included — Pok's own place, a few minutes from the pier.
Day 1 — Digital theory, then the pool. Every core skill, repeated until it's automatic.
Two lifetime certifications, issued digitally as you complete each one. You finish qualified to dive independently with a buddy to 30 metres, anywhere in the world. Ages 12–15 certify as Junior and are limited to 21 metres.
Five days of diving and two certifications is about the best use of a week here.
You already know you want to dive properly. This gets you there in one run.
฿1,100 less than the two courses apart, plus two more nights included.
Nothing wrong with certifying, diving for fun a while, then coming back for Advanced.
Under five days on the island and this won't fit. Take Open Water alone.
