Mae Haad, Koh Tao · Starts daily
The rescue course requires current CPR, first aid and oxygen training before you can certify. Most people don't have it. This version simply includes it — you do React Right first, then the full Stress & Rescue course, and leave with two certifications.
The rescue half is the same course that divers consistently name as the one that made them better: less about new diving skills, more about watching people properly and acting early.
The first aid half is not diving-specific and doesn't expire the moment you leave the island. It's genuinely useful training.
Day 1 — Primary assessment, CPR, AED use, secondary care and administering emergency oxygen — the last of which matters more in diving than almost anything else.
Two lifetime certifications. React Right covers CPR, first aid and oxygen provision — valid for 24 months as a diving prerequisite. Stress & Rescue is a prerequisite for the Divemaster track.
Which is most people. This is the version that doesn't leave you stuck at the last hurdle.
Both certifications are prerequisites. Doing them together saves a booking and some money.
The single course most likely to change how you dive with other people.
Within the last 24 months? Take the ฿11,500 Stress & Rescue course instead.
Get some dives in first. Advanced Open Water is the better next step.
